The future of the new 420 pupil Thanington Primary School, initially due to open in 2025, is now in significant doubt.

Thanington parish councillor Guy Meurice has been selected by local Liberal Democrats to contest the Wincheap Ward by-election.
Guy Meurice says that local facilities and services need to be protected and improved. He will be a strong voice for local people.
On polling day, polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm. You need to show photo ID to vote.

The petition states: ‘We are proud of our national flags, but the recent flags put up on lamp posts in Herne Bay were put up illegally and do not represent the whole community. We ask Kent County Council to remove them…’
